One side lower than other side

I took my level and put it on my tail gate and then on my bumper. With a full tank of fuel the driver side of my truck sits about 1" lower than the passenger side. I wonder what it would be if I was in the driver seat and wonder too if that would cause funny tire wear.?

    LOL

I noticed the same sort of thing w/ my '15 F350. Dealer/Ford said it was within spec. I can't figure it out, but everything sits level despite what the measurements say.

  • I also had that problem with a 3/4T Chev P/U. I found out that in later they started putting a slightly heavier spring on the drivers side of some trucks.
If you think about it it's reasonable. Most of the time there's more weight on that side so it sags over time.
  • Are you sure the ground you parked on is level? Fuel weighs about 7-8 lbs. per gallon. If you have a full tank you could have as much as 250-300 lbs on the tank side of the truck. I wouldn't be concerned. Tire wear? Have the alignment checked at a GOOD shop with experienced help. Not the inexperienced guys you might find at a low buck operation. They can tell you why your tires are wearing unevenly.
