It may vary with states. There is no statute of limitations in Texas. That is why cars/trucks hit the chop shops or the Mexican border almost immediately after they are taken.

If the pictured rig was stolen, I'm sure the driver won't bother putting the slides in once it got to its new home. It will just get torched after a couple batches are made, or the local "crops" are harvested.
