:h:h:h:h:h I'm wondering if we've done lost our minds???:h:h:h:h:hI retired from the Air Force Apr 1, 1992. I retired from the Dept. of Defense April 4, 2014. My wife retired from the US Justice Dept. Oct 1, 2010. We had planned to hit the road 3/4 time on April 5th this year as soon as I walked out the door. However, every single post-retirement travel plan for the remainder of this year that we'd made and was so looking forward to has fallen through for various reasons. The 5'er hasn't moved an inch. Neither of us had any intention, NONE, of working after I retired this past April 5th. We were pulling out with the 5'er and hit'n the road. Now I'm back to work full time (4 days a week)at a new job (hey...they came looking for me!!!) and DW is thinking about opening up a floral arrangement shop. Guess we'll continue to work until I turn 66 in 5 more years. Just seems like it's thing for us to do. I only retired last April because I was forced to. Huh!!! Who'da thought???:hHappy camping!!! Well Cricky , I have to say it just was NOT your time.. I believe that things happen for a reason , not sure of those reasons ,BUT they do... Sorry for your plans, but glad THEY came looking for you.! I thought you were an A.T.C. outside Atlanta ???

Everyday away from doing what you had planned or wanted to do is a day wasted.Good health is a wonderful thing and one never knows how long it will last. Too many people fall into that money trap and find out too late nothing can replace those dreams you had for your future.

Good health is a wonderful thing and one never knows how long it will last. Too many people fall into that money trap and find out too late nothing can replace those dreams you had for your future.

Yessir. And at 66 things can start to go bad real fast. It's all that much more difficult to enjoy life with health problems.

Well, I hope you're wrong about things can start going bad at 66:)...I'm 64 and plan on retiring when I'm 66.....so, I'll get back to you on how bad it starts getting at 66:)

Well, you're 3 yrs. younger than I am and I plan on also working till I'm 66....heck, I'm one of those that get bored really easy.....I work 12 hr shifts as a Supervisor at a major manufacturing plant and own a piece of land in WV on the Greenbriar River, wife and I get up there as often as we can, leave the 5er there at times....Got the 5er in great shape, got my retirement truck, and when I hit 66, Good Lord willing, I have my SS and 3 pensions, (plus 401K), DW will have SS and 401K...THEN we plan on doing the "roaming the country" thing..

HEY, maybe WE WILL see you on down the road....:)
