There is a manual way to close the slides, crank is in the front storage. I did have a valve failure and my main slide opened six inches before I noticed it, had to keep retracting slide with the remote control to keep it closed. We will truly never know the whole story.
had hydraulic on a salem i had. the valve inside the pump went bad and would only go out. even the manual did not work-just added more 'out' pressure. luckily i was in my driveway and after a little thought i reversed the lines on the ram and it did come in. found a new pump on ebay that was an exact fit for a good price. will never own anything but ele now-at least you can get them in manually if you have to-not easy/fun, but possible
