I can't compare the 2 as I have no experience with the Open Range. We purchased a 2016 Lacrosse 328RES in June and are very satisfied with it. We've had it out 3 times for 10 nights and have not had a single problem with it so far.
We ordered our Lacrosse with the optional 50 amp service and dual ducted 15,000 BTU air conditioners. It is my opinion that the Lacrosse 327/328 really needs this second A/C especially if you are camping in the deep south during the summer months.
Again, we are very satisfied with our 328RES and really like the residential refrigerator which is the only difference between the 327RES and 328RES. We still do a lot of looking and have not found a TT that we like any better. If we had to buy another TT today, I'm sure we would buy another 328RES.
