Opening slide
I have always opened my slide out when plugged into shore power, if I open it on 12v power would it be best to still be plugged into my tow vehicle?

Another thing you should do is open the entry door before opening and closing slide(s). It allows air to flow in/out and displace more efficiently which provides less strain on the slide systems.
