Opinions lease

Hi all,
I'm in the market for a medium size TT. I have researched, online, two TT's, a R-vision trail lite 210RB and a Fun Finder 210UDS. Both 2014. The trouble is, I cannot find either one in my state (Ca) to even go look at. Which means I'll probably be traveling out of state just to look at one. I would love to have any comments on either of these models so I can at least determine if an out of state trip would be worthwhile.
Thanks
Steve
  • Suggest you make a call to the manufacturer(s) and ask them for the dealers closest to you. You may find exactly what you're after sitting on a lot, just not listed online. There are a zillion dealers in CA, surely someone has one or the other. Good luck.
  • Good catch, Goldstalker!

Although it is very far from Marin, I will vouch for Family RV -- really good folks. See their Yelp listings. I bought a trailer from them -- very good price, knowledgeable staff. I had warranty issues -- is there a trailer that doesn't? They handled the service very competently. The location is not convenient for me -- it takes me an hour to get there, and more in bad traffic.

Having said that, if you buy from Family, make sure there is a Fun Finder dealer near you with a good reputation for handling warranty claims. You do NOT want to drive down to Southern Calif for service!! If there is no reputable FF dealer nearby, and if you are buying a new trailer, buy something else, with a local dealership.
  • I've found the best way to "shop" for an RV is to drive/walk through the campground loops and see what you see. You may spot the same or similar unit that you are considering, or see something that grabs your interest that you hadn't considered before. You might get lucky and be able to strike up a conversation with the owner "Hey, nice rig. We're thinking about the same one. How do you like it ?" and get more information than any salesman will have/give.
