I am not aware of any problems specific to the LML, never heard of any issues until this thread and I could not tell you when the truck is in regen either. I think they did a pretty good job with the DPF system on these trucks.
The only way I know I'm in regen is my turbo pressure drops to a negative at idle per my Scan Gauge II. The exhaust also vets extremely hot according to the bush I scorched at work.
