Kenny and all, I'm very happy with my current truck. Tows our TT great. I can highly recommend the 6.2 SuperDuty. Get the 4:30 gears though. Trust me on that.
Reason I'm going diesel is because we're six years from retirement and want to get a fifth wheel. Getting new truck now to pay it off while still working.
Thanks for the comments on the Silverado, but I have pulled the trigger on a 2015 6.7 SuperDuty. It should be at the dealer for pick up this afternoon. :B Very excited, and can't wait to put some miles on her and tow with it! As I said, gasser did fine, but you must be more pro-active with the trans, and be OK with the high RPMs, and frequent shifting in hilly terrain. Never having a diesel before, it didn't bother me, or the truck, but truthfully, I'm looking forward to the experience I've heard about over and over from those of you with diesels.
Yes, I was a little apprehensive what with the complexity of the new ones etc and that is why I decided to bite the bullet and buy new. Yes, I did actually consider other brands, and they are all quite nice these days but in the end my Fords have been very good to me, so hopefully this one will carry on the tradition.
