^^^Descending a steep grade with the Aisin 6 speed you don’t have a lot of choice as to how fast you come down the hill. If your truck can’t hold back the load in third gear at 55 mph you have to drop to second where the fastest you can go is 35 mph before redlining the engine. The Ford may take more rpm to hold you back but you get the advantage of an extra gear to choose from. If fourth gear doesn’t do the trick at 60 mph you can drop to third where you can get up to 50 mph before hitting the redline or second where the redline is about 40 mph.
