Organizing outdoor storage

I put all my gear in totes. Group like stuff with like stuff. All my stabilizing stuff 1 tote. All my electrical 1 tote, etc.

Works well for me, and has a clean appearance.

I just pile all the stuff in and push.

I put in a carpet runner 8ft long and about the same width as the front storage area and it works great. If I need a seldom used item from the center I just pull the carpet toward me. I go to the other side and pull it back to the center. It's cheap and works well for us.

In organizing this year i used totes and laundary baskets. I put the games in the middle as they will be the last tote to be pulled out. On the hookup side i put the laundary baskets one for water and one for electricity stuff.

I have the leveler and canopy stuff at the front of the other side. I wish i had gotten shorter totes so the chairs could lay easier on top of them. Anyways on the door/canopy side i have all the "patio" stuff.

I will live with it this year and change it next year if i learn a better way.

This is right up my alley because I'm CDO. That's OCD except with the letters in order, as they should be ;-)

When we bought our TT, I measured the width and height of the interior of the front storage. I then went to Walmart and found the isle of the Sterlite clear storage bins and found some that were just less than half the width and 1/3rd the height and bought 3. I can stack these 3 high, side by side and take up half the drivers side of the front storage and leave the other side of the drivers and the passenger half of the front storage for taller items and things we use more often.

In the totes I have awning lights, electrical plugs, extension cords and adapters in one, sewer hoses and fittings in another, drinking hoses, tubing and funnels for filling fresh water tank, pressure regulators, etc in the third.

The other half the drivers side gets the stuff we either use/set up as soon as we get there or don't always use. Stuff like the lawn mat, a easy up awning, etc.

Passenger side is reserved for stuff we use often but want to put in storage if we leave the campsite for a day trip. Grill, Coleman stove, lanterns, air compressor, drill gun, etc.

I have an old recycle bin tub (open top) that I put all of my 'junk drawer' outdoor storage stuff in. It's the last thing in and the first thing out. When camping I just pull it out and slide it under the trailer, no fuss, no muss. At night, I put the big dish pans with dirty dishes in the front passthrough storage, then do dishes in the morning, after breakfast, outside at the camp stove on the table.

We picked up plastic 'wrapping paper' storage containers at Walmart at an after christmas sale. Perfect size for our tt as it allows room on both sides for other things. Underbed storage containers are also great to use. We also use the wrapping paper containers in the storage under the dinette. Saves me from having to mess with the seats to get to stuff.

I considered installing drawers but the drawer itself takes up so much room I decided to go simple. I put categories of items in plastic laundry baskets. They fit perfectly through my doorway side by side and four of them fit across the width of the trailer with room on each side for other quick locate items like awning crank, STAB jack handle and WD latch up bar. etc.

My key is clear plastic Wally World tubs. They don't have to be the expensive ones, just the ones you find around the back of WM. The hitch parts go in a wheeled tub (intended for under a bed). That way, it is easy to grab related stuff, such as the macerator pump and its clear plastic sleeve for boondocking, the sewer hose, gloves, and alcohol gel for camping at FHU, electrical cords, FW hoses, filters, and fittings, etc.
