Given that when an ST tire blows out, you can end up with some very expensive repair work as well being out of commission for while, why wait until you have a failure or you just *think* they look like they need to be replaced? I like the idea of routine replacement biased either on mileage, time or both before you have a problem. Just because they may look okay and haven't blown out yet doesn't mean they'll keep going for any length of time.
I'm risk averse and would rather be on the side of caution. And if you think about how the delivery driver may have treated the tires, why think you can go on for 10,000+ miles? And how many keep an accurate log of miles on your TT tires?
I read on a recent post here or on the "thread from heck" that someone replaces his ST tires every 3,000 miles. If you have an RV worth 30 - 100,000 dollars, for the cost of the tires, why risk trying to get more mileage or time out of them?
