I have a old 1973 Chevy Blazer as a daily driver. 6 days a week it's tires get curbed. I drive over the curb when leaving work as it is easier than backing up, and going around the parking lot.
Been doing this for about 22 years. Never had a tire failure yet.
It has LT tires on it. I replace then when the tread is gone. And they last much longer than 5-12K.
And without getting into a huge debate, yes I know that many TTs don't come with 16" tires.. Tires are a changeable feature. Many TTs CAN fit 16" tires. I have done it on a TT that started life on 14"s.
It all depends on how badly you want to have trouble free, speed restriction free trips. If you are happy with your present situation...It's a free country. If you are looking for something better....It can be done. It's a free country.
