It has LT tires on it. I replace then when the tread is gone. And they last much longer than 5-12K.
Yes, but the sidewall construction of ST tires is different. They can't withstand the same sidewall abuse as LT tires. Not everyone wants to or can change to LT tires.
I refuse to accept that level of performance.
There are always options when it comes to tires. Some situations may cost more than others, but I am sure that it can be done in most cases....As far as wanting to do it... It's a choice. I did not like spending the money to make the swap...But that investment was made about 7 years ago, and I have been reaping the benefits ever since.
