All of the trips we've made out west have been our favorites. One we made in 2011 was especially memorable when we visited Colorado Nat'l Monument, Dead Horse Point, Capitol Reef, Arches Nat'l park, Bryce Canyon, and Zion.
Your pictures reminded me of some I took at Arches on that trip. We walked out to Delicate Arch early in the day before the crowds got too big. The weather was perfect for the hike: clear, sunny but cool enough for a jacket.
That's my Jane in the foreground admiring the view.

I maneuvered around behind her to get a long shot that in it's original size you can see our camper parked way off in the distance.

I took another a few minutes later, and didn't realize until I was looking at them on my laptop later that I had captured a young girl in the middle of a joyful leap under the arch. My attention was focused so much on the distance that I missed what was going on under my nose. Fortunately the camera caught it.

I keep asking the boss "So where are we going on vacation this year?" and she just answers "West!"
