In terms of "to sofa or not to sofa," We are not very sure. We spend all of our time in our large kitchen, on our 4'x6' island, sitting on bar chairs. We have our laptop in front of us and eat and do research or talk and check emails. When we are not at the island, we both go about our work in our respective spaces.
We rarely sit in our den (due to never having been able to find a really comfortable sofa because we have both suffered back and neck injuries), except to watch a movie about once a week. And then we sit on Poang Chairs by Ikea that has a buil-in lumbar support. But, our favorite place, the most comfortable, is in the bed propped up with pillows, so that we can get off our tailbones. That is why we have favored the swivel TV arrangement in the TTs.
Because the Poang chairs are so light, they could fit in the TT, if there is enough floor space.
There may be no time but to just eat and crash at night...or look at the photos that we have taken that day on my laptop. When we were at Yosemite last year, we stayed on top of glacier point until 1:00 a.m. to shoot Half Dome by moonlight!! And then, we kept shooting other scenery in the moonlight until 2:00 a.m.!! What an exciting and exhiliarating experience that was!!!! :B we can't wait to go back and do it again!!
Back to the sofa issue....I guess that if we ever have any company, it would be nice to have a sofa...there is a chance that my cousin and his wife would join us to go to Grand Canyon, but that is only for a few days. Can the FF 214WSD accommodate 4 adults comfortably? The rest of the time, we would be alone.
But, when we get to CA, we would have some people come visit us in the RV park...a family of 3...just to visit and have dinner. But, if we did want to travel together...that would make 5 of us....where would the teenage son sleep? So many things to consider!!
I wonder also...if this new floorplan would be large enough to live in for 6 months, if we decide to stay in CA for that duration to see if we want to move there. So many questions...not having ever used an RV before...:R
So...the question still begs to be answered...what size is ideal for two that may have company once in a while, in a TT that is safe and easy enough to tow? :h The dilemma lies in wanting an easily towable TT that will fit easily into any national park CG and yet wanting enough room to be comfortable for longer durations! That may not be achievable... :R
