out with the old and in with the new

So the King Ranch is heading out after 5 years of reliable service. Hopefully the new truck is as good. The cost of ownership was about 20,000 for fuel; 19,000 for depreciation; roughly 5500 for insurance and registration; 1650 for tires and repairs; 850 for oil and filters. Grand total of 47,000 for 5 years and 92000 miles. $.51/mile.....not bad eh.

  • I have to ask...

This fall...can we get an updated pic of the platinum pulling 30k gooseneck with all those hay bails? That's one of my favorite pics ever posted on this forum.

    Thanks!

  • That white 2011 King Ranch is just now getting broken in good. Someone is going to get a very nice used truck.

But that is a mighty good looking Platinum.
  • That's a nice rig. I hope it satisfies you as much as your older F250 plus more. I'm sure the old one will find a nice home and make someone very happy. Happy towing and let us know your thoughts in comparing the older 6.7 versus the more powerful 6.7 with larger turbo. I'm sure the fuel mileage will drop a bit but hopefully the power is noticeable.
  • Congrats Terry.... but where is all the snow :W
Yeah ours is almost gone too :B
  • That Platinum looks like a jewel... These Super Duty's are the best trucks on the road.
  • Congrats on the new truck! Old saying.... one mans garbage is another mans treasure. :)

  • Nice choice, just ignore the veiled put downs from the other brand guys. It is obvious the new truck is burgundy.
  • Nice trucks...congrats.

Looks like you got the exact same truck with different paint! Even the wheels are nearly the same!

Good luck on the sale too!

    Thanks!

  • Why get rid of it, with that great track record? Your biggest cost was the 5 years of depreciation, and you're about to eat the same thing on the new truck!
