Outfitter Pop-up Truck Camper
Outfitter truck campers are some of the rarer ones out there. They come form a small manufacturer with relatively few produced each year. I have started this thread for others with these truck camp...

Thanks for the heads up there... Our Outfitter is from 2011 and we have so far spent around 150 nights in it - with roughly the same number of roof operations. I dread the day when the lift motor quits...
A few questions to those who have already experienced a failure:
- how long did the motors last?
- what is it that usually fails first? The motor itself or the gearing? Our roof has no additional loads on top, we are running (sort of) light.
- what was the "operator error", so I could pay special attention to avoid doing the same thing?
- is the motor identical to the ones that are used on the electric jacks? In that case at least I would always have 4 spares with me.
Repair looks and sounds to be straightforward with the right tools, at the right place. Stranded on a remote camping lot not so much...
