Over cab bed area external crack, Should I be concerned?

I noticed this crack the other day wonder if it something to be concerned about?

I've been saying to myself that I should get those stabilizer that hold up the bed & now think it even more?

What do you guys think?

Its only on the drivers side.

& its a 1985 Lance.

I wonder if thats how it looks outside what might be going on inside?
  • I would be concerned. I don't think the shock absorbers on the fronts of Lance's support any weight.
  • Drill a hole at the end of crack
so not to spread and caulk. Check
under the mattress and see if it's
    damp :(
  • Hate to say it but that and rippling of the aluminum along where the hoiz panels come together is usally because of a saggy cabover, just put some caulk over it and repeat, and keep camping
  • That thin aluminum skin isn't load bearing, but what is underneath could be really cracked hard to know.

Does the overhang flex a lot when you push up/pull down on it or when someone climbs in it from the inside?
