Thanks for the advice so far. It is in fact cooler, which isn't too big of an issue YET, but will be once we hit snow. Maybe a 12v fan would help.
I will buy some foam, like that idea for sure.
We do keep the curtains closed because we have kids and a dog that will bounce beds at night if we let her. I know that isn't helping, but we don't have much choice there.

I'll start with the foam insulation first and good call on one item at a time. I was thinking the wave would be nicer than hearing the heater cycle all night....but yeah, maybe the heat won't transfer.
