Overloaded? Nah, it's a truck. It can handle it, right?

Saw a guy the other day at Lowes with a Cadillac Avalanche or whatever Caddy's version of it is and he had them load a full pallet of something into the bed of the truck and it rose a few feet above cab of truck. Left w/o strapping it down (at least I didn't see him do it), tailgate down but best part was, his receiver was NO MORE than 8" off the ground. I mean this thing was WAAAAAAAAAY overloaded. My guess is, it was at least a ton of product. Glad I went the opposite direction.

  • Well, if the truck can still move with the bumper dragging the ground, I suppose it's OK. Might be kind of rough crossing some railroad tracks though!

Have you ever seen someone try to load a riding lawn mower in the trunk of a Prius? .... or something similar ... I have! Way too hilarious watching. I offered my help once (not too long ago) for a college girl and her mother attempting to get a book shelf in the trunk of the daughter's car. The bookshelf was wider than the trunk, taller than the doors. I was stumped. It would not fit. Another guy stopped, saw the confusion, and dismantled the cabinet. I wonder if those two women ever got it back together again?
