We don't have RV mechanical inspections yet, but AutoZone etc. can't code read vehicles because of law the repair lobby got passed. Follow the money, safety is secondary.
In PA we can still go to AutoZone.
Our "emissions test" is just the inspection station plugging into your computer to see if there is anything out of spec. Well guess what, if anything is out the check engine light will come on. Now you get to pay $29 or more for that service. Stop by my house and I will tell you if the light is on for a mere $20.
Yes, I know, I'm wrong again!
O.K. yes you are wrong --- AGAIN:R. There are lots of what are called soft codes that do not light up the check light and even some that will light it up and then it will go out, but the code will still be stored. One such code in almost all ECUs is the drive cycle code where once the ECU is code cleared there is a code stored until a certain number of drive cycles are completed.

Perhaps you don't understand the difference between current out of spec and history. So if there is a code stored that doesn't mean that the emissions is currently too high, the problem has gone away.
Now just why do you find a need to snipe at folks while offering no useful information?
