Paint chips on dually fender

Is there any way to deal with paint chips on front of dually fender or am I the only one with this problem.
  • mud flaps on front/back and running boards seems to be working for me too.
  • I did bedliner on the leading face of mine. But I still have damage from rocks getting thrown up from below, so next summer I do the full fenders. Biggest factor is the tires you run. The bigger the tread blocks, the larger the rocks they throw.

    Good luck finding them nowadays.

Hard to find, yes, but they do help save the truck from salt and stones. I don't understand why they are going away. They are also handy to stand on when retrieving items from the bed of the truck.

I think they went away because they really look bad (my opinion). No doubt they save the side of the pickup, but I would opt for anything other than those solid wheel to wheel boards. There are companies that make wheel to wheel nerf bars for dually's.

We have those and the clear protective coating, on the new to us 2016 Ram.

I had nerf bars once. They do nothing to protect the paint.

I love the looks of my 3"magnum running boards. They are basically a 3" stainless steel nerf bar, with a ribbed stainless top. They look a lot like the nerf bars, but they are a 2 piece wheel well to wheel well setup. I like them so much that, I actually removed them from my 2001, and installed them on my 2011.
