Did the monthly trailer in storage for the winter check and found the shower head laying on the floor with the hose from the faucet laying over the edge of the tub. Ice in the hose popped the head right off and sheared the plastic fitting. Hose was ice from top to bottom, really hope the ice did not go back into the faucet and break anything else.Next year I will remember to take the hose off from the bottom of the faucet. And I thought 1/2 gallon of pink through the hose/head and then blowing it out was enough, wonder what else is frozen and/or broken.

I had to replace my shower head the first season with our new camper over looked it. On the bright side camping world does have some nice replacements and I love the new shower head!

Did you actually run the shower while the pump was circulating pink stuff...cause if it was running pink out of the shower head there should be no way it froze up. Something isn't right. Daryll

Hows the weather there in Calgary right now?I'm heading there Tuesday with the TT in tow...And I'm going to be there for several weeks! Ought to be interesting!

Sorry to hear about your frozen shower head. :(But:This is why "I" have always NOT been a fan of blowing out lines. Putting pink in the fresh tank and running each and every faucet until it runs dark pink fills up EVERY nook and cranny an RV has and fills each and every water line full up with antifreeze. Just saying.

yes I ran the shower, 1/2gallon of pink just like every other tap.weather here right now is -10C, there is no way this should have frozen, makes me wonder if the batch of antifreeze I got was defective.

Just to clarify you blew the lines and then took the shower head off and poured antifreeze into the hose??

How do you pour antifreeze 'into' the other faucets.?

I just detach the shower head hose from the bath tub faucet and leave it to drain out. There is no sense running pink stuff through the shower hose.

Was the ice pink? Maybe you thought you ran it through but are mistaken? Better hope that is the case. The worse case would be that the antifreeze is not antifreeze and all your lines are frozen.
