Palomino Bronco 1251 and gray water tank

Hello,
I am looking at buying a Palomino Bronco 1251. I see it has a 22 gal fresh water tank and a 7 gal black water tank.
So what is everyone doing if they take a shower or wash dishes, with no gray water holding tank?
Thanks for any and all information,
James

  • Big-wheel: In the factory configuration where does the shower and sink drain go? Does it drain to the ground or to the black tank?
  • If anyone wants to drop me a PM I do have few few pics that I can email to you and you can post them here.
  • At least the newer 1500 models have a six gallon black water tank. Don't know when they made the change.
  • My B1500 has NO internal tanks, grey or black.

Either you let the gray water run on the ground, or you run a hose to an external catch can.

For me, showers are ~1.5 gallons per day, though I have been taking long generous showers of 2-2.5 gallons as of late, when I'm only staying around 1-3 nights by myself.

Most of the places I camp are private property, and everyone just lets what little gray water they create, trickle out on the ground underneath their rigs. By the time they pull out, it's long since soaked in and dried up. There is no smell. It's only icky if you crawl under the rig and roll in it while it's wet.
  • For our 1251 we have the shower and the sink reworked to all flow into a 7 gal gray water tank that is mounted under the rear over hang. Very simple to do and very worth while. I can try to get some pics if anyone wants?
  • X2 on the external tank or tote for the gray water. I don't want to use up any of my black water storage for gray.
  • Well for the shower I bypassed the tiny black tank and plumbed it back to the dump valves. You can then drain into a 7 gallon water jug.
  • I believe the shower water runs into the black tank, and the sink drains out with a garden hose atachment.
