Palomino Stampede questions

Hi,
My wife and I just purchased a 2005 Palomino Stampede 23SLSD from my aunt. She always traveled with the bunk mattresses on the floor in the trailer, but I was under the impression that the mattresses could be stored on the bunk when they are stowed. I saw that the mattresses have a pieces of cloth with a snap on the edges, and the corresponding snap on the bunk end. Is there a "right way" to fold the bunk material so that the canvas and mattresses aren't spilling out into the trailer? When we were coming home from picking it up, we stopped to eat lunch and were eating in the trailer. The front bunk area is right by the dinette and the canvas was hanging out on the back of the bench. Thanks for any tips!
  • I had a 2007 195.. There were straps with snaps on mattress that snapped onto the bunk door..The tention arm would get sandwiched between the cushion.
  • No such luck. I always wished that our ROO could have a neater appearance when the bunkends were closed, but that is just part of the "charm" of a HTT. Certainly having the dinette by the bunkend is a real PITA. While not a true fix, you might see if something like a nylon strapping attached to the wall on each side and maybe it'll hold the tent in and give you more room to enjoy lunch.
  • we had a 2005 21SD and ALWAYS had the mattress on the bunk. Always
