Yea, over the years we've parked in many different situations. If the slope is too great, the tongue jack and the rear bumper might not have enough clearance from the ground to actually make the trailer level, depending upon how long the trailer is.
Here's one example when we were parked on a sloped campsite. The tongue jack was all the way down and the rear was in the clouds. It was still not level. The tongue needed to go down even more.
I could have hitched back up, but lumber under the tires, and that would have raised the front enough to finally get it level.
Use chocks on all tires when on a slope. Build a level platform, as best you can, for each stabilizer jack. I have found putting a 2x4 under one end of a longer board will make the first tier level. Then everything built on that tier will be level. Jacks will rest just fine.
