using a rope to tie off a heavy TT to a tree, OMG what next. ropes stretch and break. reminds me of when I was in the navy, we had the bright idea to catch a great white shark. used a 1/2 inch line and a hay hook and liver for bait. the shark took the bait and rolled and the new line snapped and it swam away with the line trailing down it's side. most trailers weight more then a great white . so unless you are using a mooring line I don't think I would trust it over night
