THAT is where these posts are coming from. And are usually very legit dissatisfied consumers of a product where phone calls are not helping them so they use the link 'provided' to them.

Henceforth why it is their first post. They are not here to join a forum they are using a link provided to them.

So don't blame the OP, blame GS for posting the link to this forum EVERYWHERE and making all the forum posts PUBLIC to all the same places.

Nope! The forums come up in a normal Google search or any of the other search engines used on the internet. It is not GS posting the links to the forum, it is the search engines ability to find relevant sites on the internet.

I am not an IT type guy but, as far as I know, anything you post on the internet (which this is) is available to an internet search engine, and it is not up to the originator to allow or disallow it.

They do list the forum address on all the magazines/advertisements that they own and it can be found on camping related websites that they have a financial interest in. I have personally seen it listed on many RV related sites.

This started the same time Affinity changed their name to GS and when the additional forums related to GS appeared on this website. Keep in mind Affinity is beyond huge and only changed their name to GS to avoid legal issues.

Everything related to camping that is related to GS will have this forum address posted at the bottom of the website. Those websites that contain this link do not show up on a google search because the website topic is what is listed in google not what 'contact' links are contained within it.

If the OP came back all one had to do is ask where he got the link. Since he is complaining about an RV trailer dolly he most likely got the link off the website where he purchased it. Frustrated that he could not get results from calling he posted to the link provided to him on the site.
