I took an old piece of carpet that came out of the sticks n bricks, and cut it to fit the floor in the pass thru. It keeps things from sliding around. Literally, everything is always exactly where I left it when I arrive.
I also put a paper towel holder on both curbside and streetside, so I have those handy for whatever need. On the streetside, I have a couple of plastic "milk crates" ( you can get them at Lowe's ) that I use to organize items. One for electrical, one for plumbing, etc.
I also screwed some heavy duty cup hooks in various places to hang things like whiskbroom, extra flashlight, extendable wash wand, roll of duct tape, extra cable for television hookup, etc
