How do you organize your pass thru?

I have three outside storage areas on our new-to-us camper, a 2011 Grey Wolf 28BH.
The rear storage area is great, since it's under the lower bunk in the back. Nice big space, easy to get to. The driver side storage is relatively smaller, under the couch.
The front storage, where most have a full pass-thru, is only on one side. For whatever reason the water heater is on the other side. Never seen that before!
I'm looking at making that storage some sort of bins-on-a-rope system (excuse the technical terminology, LOL), where I can shove them back in there but be able to get them back out. I'll keep you guys posted.
