PCV flagpoles

I made a couple of these flag poles and get allot of questions and comments about them. I fly an American flag and WVU flag. I used 1" pvc pipe since I am using 3' X 5' flags.

These are simple to make if you can cut and glue pvc pipe.

Since flag day is coming in a week June 14, I thought it would be nice to put this information up again.

I will be flying my flags this way at Whispering Hills RV Park in Shreve Ohio.

Hope I did this right. I should start selling these.
  • Whispering Hills is a nice place. Three generations of owners will be working on any given day. Well maintained. I have stayed there many times.

While in the area make a side trip to Kidron and visit Lehman's Hardware. Lots of other Amish attractions in the area along the route 39 corridor.
  • No this is our first time. I have visited this campground in the past and looks nice. I have heart good things about it.
  • prujak, Have you stayed at Whispering hills before? We are looking at that area in a couple weeks and would appreciate any input.

My experience is that folks love them, but, they don't really want you to make a profit. Questioning you about them just gives them a closer look at construction, (which is okay too) Patriotism is good.....It's becomming rare, so let's help them with their construction, and let's all fly those American flags.

Thanks for your help. Don't know what I was doing wrong.

There was a guy in Myrtle Beach selling them for $25 with the cheap flag, rod and washer included.
  • If you glue everything but the bottom of the "T" than drill a hole through it and use a pin everything holds together well. Sometimes the wind can whip it around and the parts not glued might come apart. Than you can store it in two sections.
  • I've used PVC for the purpose before but never bothered gluing anything together. Slipping them together allows them to be broken apart for transport and does little to effect their strength.
  • I have tried the two links and they won't open for me. Try searching for pvc flagpoles.
