Huh, interesting but how does this stuff prevent the deposits? No added ingredients the only thing I can think of is that it may be high purity DEF if impurities are causing the deposit. If that were the case I suspect they would brag about their "ULtra Pure DEF" and they do not.
Also odd that there isn't a hit on google. OK solved that one search for "SCR deposits" and you'll get a large number of hits. But all of them seem to be theoretical papers in the science/engineering literature. Not a one that I saw from some practical source.
One thing is certain, the guy that made that video should not try out for a job as a camera man...heh.
They say this product includes synthetic urea, deionized water, and proprietary additive package. Similar to motor oils the additive package is treated as proprietary.
Lets see... We're on the second API motor oil designed for diesel engines with DPF's (API CJ4 and now CK4) so why not an improved DEF fluid?
I can say that my truck has 197k miles and a bunch of idle hours and all I ever used was Peak Blue DEF and I've yet to have a DEF related issue that I know of but I think I'm going to give this a try. My interest is does this product reduce existing crystal build up? And will I be able to measure any improvement?
