Perfect sized recliners to replace the sofa!

I finally think I found the perfect recliners. They are wallaway, so only need 2 inches of clearance. I have 70" from side to side and 36 inches depth for the new chairs. I think they will be perfect for us. I'm very small and the husband is only 5'8? And the best part is they are only about $550 each! They are from Best HF and are called Ruddick. They are in the petite collection but will work for a man.

Height 39.25
Unit Width 31.25 Depth 35
And this is the sofa we are taking out.
  • Looks good, I guess the only question left is will everything fit in and out of the door. Good luck.
  • They look great. sure hope you can get couch/chairs out/in.

Couch will be easy to take apart and take out. Chairs come disassembled so they will fit thru the door.
  • We have two Best recliners that we used to replace a sofa. Make sure if they have the lever on the side that you have allowed enough room. I had to have a file cabinet custom made to fit between them due to forgetting about the space the lever takes up. All is good though. Cabinet works great and chairs have been in about 5 years. The Best chairs fit both my husband and I and I am 5' and he is 6'2".

I'm happy to hear this. I have 70" of room from side to side and the chairs are 31.5 or 32"? We will have plenty of room. I'm also going to get to tables that I keep seeing that slide under the chair side and have a cup holder in the side of them? I've seen them for up to $100. but we can make them much cheaper than that!
  • Sounds great. My furnace is under my couch. Did you check the weight of the chairs?

The weight doesn't matter, I own my lot and the unit is not moved.
