Issue is you can't get a 6 seat longhorn. Other then the the color and the embroidery what's the difference?
Confused about your question.
"can't get a 6 seat Longhorn":h Yeah, I'm confused also unless he means you can't get a 6 passenger Longhorn...if so, the Laramie I had wasn't a "6 seat" either....but not sure what is being said.
My guess is that he is referrring to the fact that you have to go with the front bucket seats with the center console in the Longhorn - you can't get the 40/20/40 folding seats.
That is the reason my BIL went with a Laramie instead of the Longhorn.
And, as others have said, the Longhorn leather is a significant upgrade over the standard Laramie. Go take a look at one and you will understand. - NC_HaulerExplorer

A lot! First thing my wife said when we compared a Laramie to a Longhorn. The Laramie is much more vinyl like, while the Longhorn is heavier, much better quality of "leather" . Much better in the Longhorn.
You are right about the 6 person seating though. NA in Longhorn.
Having owned both Laramie and Longhorn, the quality of the leather in the Longhorn is better. In fact, on each seat in the Longhorn you have a tag stating how to care for the leather and what kind of leather it is....it is a high quality of leather.....I actually thought I heard a "moo" once when I set down a little harder on my seat than normal:B - NC_HaulerExplorerI've had several Ram trucks with the perforated leather seats and didn't have an issue with the leather. I personally love the ventilated seats, as does my wife. When AC is on and cab is cool, the fan underneath the seat is blowing cool air not only through the bottom of the seat, but it also comes out around the lower to middle part of my back..pretty cool, literally. On a side note, love the heated steering wheel which I though was more gimmick than anything when I first owned a Ram 2010, but on a cold morning...yeah, it wasn't a "gimmick" then..Also passengers love the heated back seat...

Confused about your question. - ROBERTSUNRUSExplorer: Hi, my 2000 Lincoln has heated and air conditioned seats in it. I like the heat when needed and the air conditioner when needed and this requires perforated leather to work. The down side to this is this system makes the cushions quite a bit harder than the non-heated / air conditioned seats. Therefore my new truck has cloth seats.
I don't know about the Dodges, but my Lincoln has an electronic device that actually makes heat and cold air. It works similar to those battery powered ice chests. - HouseApeExplorerIssue is you can't get a 6 seat longhorn. Other then the the color and the embroidery what's the difference?
- mpierceExplorerI have the Longhorn, the leather is wonderful! The heating works great, even at -20F, warm in moments. Cools good too. Longhorn leather is a big step up from Laramie.

The seats in the ram are not air conditioned, just ventilated, and it pulls air through the seat not blowing out. Put a pice of paper on it and turn it on you'll see. It's a great fart extractor!
I knew we could not make it without one fart reference. ;). And yes as others have said they work nice in the summer and my little ones have not made enough mess to screw up the holes. I'd go for it and not worry.
