You don't need a "chip", they are useless because they work in a very generic fashion. You need to have the PCM reprogrammed, or "tuned" as its known on the auto performance boards. Everyone gets all bent out of shape about the warranty. This is easy, you buy a second PCM and have that one reprogrammed instead. If you think you need warranty work, you put the "stock" PCM back in. The PCM can be tuned for towing, mileage, shift points, reduction of torque management, etc. There are a number of companies that do it. PCM4Less is one of the cheaper ones with a great reputation.

Sorry but that won't work. The software and hardware that comes with the PCM and pickup knows where it came from. It will log changes. Cat did this many, many years ago. To this day they won't give out the codes to the field staff. Once the PCM is disconnected it will log that and the tech will know something is up.
You can change out the PCM but it knows. There is no way around it now. Many, many years ago yes, but not now.
As far as MM goes. ROTFLMAO, good luck with that. There is even a member on here that was denied warrantee even though he did nothing wrong to his Ford truck.
All it takes is a manufacture that says warrantee denied and then your stuck because they know you need your truck. They will tell you to pound sand and take us to court. They don't care how long it takes. This means you could be without your truck for years until the case goes to court.
Like I said, good luck with that!
