I'm not debating/denying that the process could be painful, I merely pointed out that it was illegal for a manufacturer or dealer to deny a claim simply because an after market product had been added, and that mileage would not decrease with the addition of a chip/tuner, and that a chip/tuner would most likely not result in premature mechanical failure, and I pointed out as in my case, the chip/tuner has more that paid for itself in fuel savings.
But me personally, I'd be stubborn enough to take 'em to task...but didn't need to, Dodge paid for all warranty work, regardless of chip/tuner being installed with just 20K on the odometer. Just my observations from personal experience, yours may differ.
