Picked up my son his first tow vehicle

He will use it to tow a quad and some dirt bikes when we go camping.
160,000 miles. I am the 3rd owner. Picked it up from a buddy who had it since 100,000 miles. All service records. I need to do a few small things. Great oil pressure 50 heading down the road 35 at hot idle.
Pretty clean too. He is happy. Starts driving in October. 3500 bucks.

  • That's one of the cleanest 150k plus mile GMT400 trucks I have seen.
  • Sharp truck, I'm on my 3rd gmt400. Should be able to easily get another 40 to 60K out of it!

Very nice Mike!! Now if your son can just keep it nice, learn to take care of it himself. Getting a first vehicle together is always nice for a father/son to enjoy.

    Congrats to you both!

Thanks he is so excited. He steamed cleaned the inside today. I need to replace the coolant quick disconnect on the intake and one valve cover. I will have him do those.

My Trans Am and Caprice have torque management programmed out. The Truck and the wife's car still have it. I forgot what it was like to have a normal vehicle without it. I threw the keys to the boy and when he hit the gas the rear tires spun...no torque management. LOL.

Last year the water pump and fuel pump were done. Year before that intake gasket and injectors. If I can get 40,000 to 60,000 miles out of it I will be happy.
