It'll pull it all day long, and your not breaking any safety laws. Instead of saying that set up was not fun, what I should have said was, my new 6.7 ltr superduty pulling my now 5500 dry TT is a lot MORE fun, but your fine. Again the truck was screaming in 2nd on hills but never showed signs of giving up. It's a strong engine with no issues. If you have the extended wheel base it's rated at 6900 lbs. I've read on F150 forums that that engine is built to withstand high RPMs for long periods of time. It's gets the most HP at the higher RPMs yet good mileage at the lower rpms. If you ever feel you need more torque you can inexpensively change your rear to a 3.73 or a 4.10. And you are correct with regards to the 5rs. My buddy's 350 is rated at 22000 and his 36 ft 5er toy hauler is pushing 18000 lbs loaded. My little 4.6 would keep up just fine. Anyaway enjoy it and have lots of fun.
