It won't be easy for you to let that old friend go!
Why is it so hard to get rid of a hunk of metal? My wife cried a little bit when we sold our old motorcycle. I bought it before we got married and we rode it together for 8 years before the first child came along and we stopped riding. I was sad to see it go, but she actually teared up a little.
Then we sold the Tundra because we outgrew the payload after child number 2 came along. I was sad to see it go again. Every time I see a white Tundra go down the road I have to look twice at it to see if it used to be mine. My 3 year old daughter sometimes asks where daddy's old truck is.
I love my new Ram. We came out of the grocery store last night and were walking into the parking lot and I saw a pickup parked in front of mine and thought... "that's a really nice looking truck!". Then I realized... that is MY truck!
Its a hunk of metal. Its a tool to complete a task. But we grow attached to the good ones and remember all the good times you had with it. The bad ones you hate and you only remember the troubles you had with it. Its amazing...
