Picking up TT tomorrow, size ball?

My dealer told me the wrong size. Luckily I had a spare 2 5/16 behind the seat from towing the 2 CY ceement trailer.

2 5/16 most if not all trailers over about 18 foot

Call the dealer and save yourself a headache and frustration:)

Your tow vehicle needs to be set up with the proper drop for the hitch, which you won't know until you pick up the trailer. You might as well wait til you get there and buy one from the dealer. Might cost a couple extra dollars, but you're assured the proper fit.

This is not my first rodeo in towing a trailer. Towed boats, closed box trailer, etc. I also had Class A and 35ft fifth wheel. This is my first TT. I just need to be sure, so I can take the right hitch with me to the dealer 3 hours away. I do have a brake controller.

And no, I will not be using WDH and Sway controller at this time. I already had the discussion about WDH and sway control in my other post few days ago. No need to go through this again here in this post.

You don't sound fully prepared. When in doubt, call the dealer and ask. And while you're on the phone, strongly suggest you get info on the right WDH/sway for your rig.
