No it is the Hilux. They introduced a new model,in 2017 which is selling very well. It should not not show up as the second link near the top as other non Pickup vehicles( Corolla) sell more, they are not included in the original link.Nonetheless 540,000 vehicles is nothing to sneeze at. Estimates are the new Hilux will sell in the mid 600,000 area. Will be interesting to see how the new Mazda/ Isuzu Pickup sells when it is introduced ?
The number you provided for the hilux is well above the numbers listed in the second link but it doesn't show up...so there is clearly a conflict between the articles. No idea which one is correct but clearly something is wrong.
Never said they didn't sell quite a few. I was just wondering if they go out under different brand names so it splits the numbers similar to the GM 1/2 ton pickup is split between Chevy and GMC. If they were combined, most years they would beat out Ford.
No Hilux like F150 has the same name. I would put trust in the original Statist report. The Fox one looks VERY RUBBERY:?.
No mention of the Hilux, DMAX , Ford Ranger , Nissan Navara, Global Colorado, VW Amarok Or Mitsubishi Triton although they have several factories in various countries making themGot this about the Hilux from a Thai publication dated 2014
Toyota has sold more than 5 million of its Hilux vehicles around the globe since the model's introduction in 2004, while domestic sales have zoomed past the 1.5-million mark, according to Toyota Motor Thailand (TMT).
