Place for an extra spare tire
Just bought an 18' TT (Pioneer by Fleetwood) and it came with two spares tires. One is mounted on the rear bumper and is very secure. I was wondering if anyone has mounted a spare under the battery ...

My spare is under the battery / propane tanks. It is not too low, and as I had a Pioneer. I know the Pioneer is much higher than my APEX. You should have no problem there.
As for not carrying a spare. That is NOT a smart thing to do. I can, and have had a flat changed and on my way before Em Road service could have even got a tire and got to me.
It also matters not if it is a good tire, if you keep it aired up, or anything like that. Flats happed to new, perfectly aired tires. WHY take an un necessary chance. IF that little bit of weight is going to hurt your TT. There are other problems to be addressed.
