(PS, at least I got almost 60k miles out of my 2016 Silverado 1/2 ton transmission...)
That implies you are hard on transmissions or the transmission was junk?
205k miles on my 4R70w
That truck (the 2016) did a bit of heavy towing through the mountains, but it had issues from day 1.
Had what felt like a tq converter shudder when taking off from a stop with a heavy trailer. 1 trip to the dealer rendered the "can't find anything wrong" answer, so I ran it. Tq converter cut loose first, parts and sparkly stuff took out the valve body (according to the dealer).
PS, no update from the stealer yet. I don't have a very good feeling about getting my truck back any time soon...
Can't expect much from a 3.42 trans you put oversized tires on.. On my 11 HO DRW I had 3.42's and on a grade it felt like the rear springs were twisting so I had to take off real easy and once rolling i gave it hell. It handled the 28-29K combined for 65k and the pan was nearly spotless at that mileage. You simply need to have that trans BUILT and then change out to 4.10's if you want to keep running oversized tires.
