I saw a thread a couple months ago, someone made a cover out of pvc pipe. I went to the home center and found some perforated flexible drain piping. about 1 lb for 10 feet. 1/4 the price of pvc. I cut about 25% out lengthwise. It is light, snaps on and off easy, was cheap and easy to make, I have driven with it on (unintentionally) and it stayed fine. I can even pull it off without a ladder. Probably about $20 Not sure how to add pics here, but PM me if you want more info.
