What are your views of the awning covers made of plastic that are suppose to protect you awning from sun? And maybe protect you from an unraveling awning while driving? Saw one today that was adve...

A length of canvas, as long as the awning and a foot or so wide, with a wire sewn into the upper edge hooked on one end and bungeed at the other, drapes over the rolled awning nicely.
Mine had been part of a very old jib.
If it blows off, it's just fabric.
Have yet to have ours come off. Like I said earlier I drove five miles at 55 mph and itnever came off. We used the rain gutter for ours and it is stable and has her to come off.
