Plastic Wheel Center Cap Plug

Hey Everyone,

I ended up losing one of the plastic center cap plugs off my trailer on the last trip out, and I'm having a terrible time trying to find a replacement. The plug measures 3 1/8" in diameter and the center cap itself is about 2 1/2" deep. Below is a picture of one of my other caps for reference:

It seems like no one sells these caps anymore. Anyone know of a place I can order them from? I guess the worst case is I just replace all four center caps with a different style. If I have to go that route, any suggestions there?

Thanks much!

  • Here's your chance to get rid of those old, scratched up, dull, caps and get something new that's new and more sexy. While your at it you can repaint your rims to make them look new again too. That's the sort of thing that makes my OCD happy. :C

Where haven't I searched would probably be a shorter list! ;)

I've checked the dealer I bought the trailer from, did an extensive Google search, searched this site, checked trailer wheel manufacturer websites, Amazon, eTrailer, and any other site I could think of.

The parts guy at the dealer said he thought they stopped production of my particular center caps, and I'm inclined to believe him given that I can't find them anywhere. He suggested just not worrying about replacing it since it's purely cosmetic, but I'm too OCD for that. :)

Thanks for clarifying. If I were you I would buy a complete set of a design you can live with and then buy a second set as a spare. End of story and you get all 4 being the same.
  • I would round file those plastic caps and get a full set of metal ones, they don't chip and break as much with age.

You can get them at an auto parts house like Oreilly's.
