Please help... im not sure what to do
I appologize beforehand.. I know that i seem to do more worrying then maybe one should. I need this camper to last me a very long time..and unfortuntly i cant afford right now to pay dealer to do alot of work that maybe i can do myself... im uploading some pics of my slide. I noticed a screw missing from the bottom trim on the side of the slide. i had to take off a couple of the screws just to get this one screw in... im confused now..If you look at some of these pictures, when the trim is loose you can see the sidewall of the slide and the laminated wood under the fiberglass... when i tighten the screws down you can still see some of this wood under the trim.. im not sure how i would stop water from hitting that when it rains..
I dont want to be facing delamination in the future.. this seems like a bad design here. Should i bring this to my dealer to look at? it seems odd that the wood is exposed like that with only the trim over it.. there is no silicone underneath the trim on either side of the slide, and im not sure if a bead of silicone will even stick to that darco tape on bottom of slide out..thanks for reading..im really worried... camper only two years old but out of warranty.
