Plugging in at home between trips

Our hat has a small fridge combo with internal freezer door. We left it running all season and had an accidental fflood. The ground fault plug tripped during a power outage and the propane was empty . Lie and learn sput .

Never considered the battery question. We do plug in at home. We have a built-in battery disconnect. Is that a sufficient cut-off for the battery when we are at home?

Turn off the battery and plug in from Day 1 of the season until Winterizing Day. Frig is always fully loaded and ready to go...just toss in the last minute food, clothes, check the tires and torque and hook up. We do run the A/C at just a bit higher temp than if we were actually camping. Keeps everything fresh and dry...no musty smell. If your DS loves to do his homework out there, don't stand in his way! Cost is minimal and it gives everybody an escape when things get tough in the house.

Curious question, with batteries disconnected the power for lighting and other 12v things work from converter? Can a battery charger fuse be removed?

60 watt solar panel and 30 amp controller while at home. Two 6 volt sealed batteries, never have to worry about water.

I have to run 150' of extension cord to get power out to my TT. If I'm not going to use the trailer that month, I do that for a 3 day period and then unhook the battery. But there's only 2 months a year that I have to do that.

Battery disconnect that I switch off just to be sure I don't overcharge. Never have, but have heard horror stories, so....
If the TT is sitting for months, I'll switch the battery back on for a couple of days every month or so to keep the battery charged.

I have a 30 amp plug so I not only stay plugged in, I run the AC and sometimes camp in the driveway when the TT is not in storage.
