Seems to cause some forward rocking of camper. The camper seems more flexible than it was with my 2011 truck.

Why would the height of the sides cause rocking of the camper? the camper isn't resting on the sides is it?
I don't think the sides of the truck are causing the rocking, the height of the sides has caused me to either use foam or plywood to raise the camper. My camper is a basement model and is already high enough. I just know that with my 2011 truck (same truck) I didn't have the rocking. No, the camper is not resting on the sides of the box but its very close in the rear by less than a 1/2 inch. At this point I have no idea what is causing the rocking. I expected the camper to sit flat in the box and never move.
